Ciao! I’m Sabrina — an Italian artisan living in Germany, proudly carrying a little piece of Southern Italy wherever I go. I grew up in a small town near Naples, surrounded by family traditions, warm hospitality, and the unmistakable charm of Italian life.
I love my family and my land, but I decided to move abroad to experience something different — and in Germany I started teaching Italian. I never expected such heartfelt curiosity and love for my country, language, and culture. Through my lessons with adults of all ages, I discovered something beautiful: everyone is fascinated by Italy — its sounds, its flavours, its stories, its way of living.

Over time, I realized I wasn’t just teaching grammar or vocabulary anymore. I had become an ambassador of my culture, sharing the recipes, traditions, scents, and memories that shaped me and made me the person I am today.
Where it all began
Crochet has always been part of my life. I learned it from my mother and grandmother — two extraordinary women who taught me not only the craft, but also the values behind it: patience, creativity, dedication, and love. For me, crochet is more than a hobby. It’s a way to stay connected to my roots and express the most authentic part of who I am.
And this is exactly what The Italian Stitch is — a space where Italian craftsmanship meets storytelling. Here, I create handmade crochet pieces that carry the warmth of my homeland, and I also share recipes, traditions, and little glimpses of Italian culture.

Every item is Made with Amore — crafted slowly, thoughtfully, and with high‑quality materials. I love listening to my customers’ ideas and working together to imagine the perfect piece, whether it’s a gift or a treat for themselves. I pay great attention to packaging and details, because I truly believe that details make all the difference.
Whether you’re here for a unique crochet piece or to explore Italian traditions, I’m happy to welcome you into my world…
